Just a Quiet Interlude

I received a set of china as a wedding present over 20 years ago.  It was a discontinued pattern then.  I loved it, all the deep, rich colors.  I hardly ever bring it out of its safe little place.  I think that is sad, not to use something beautiful, because it is beautiful.  So, I decided for this Tablescape Thursday, I would bring them out.

As I said it was the rich colors that drew  me to this pattern.  Rust, dark and light blue.
This pattern is called "Interlude" by Lenox.

The cup and saucer waiting for after dinner coffee.

The goblets are Galway Irish Crystal, but I cannot remember the pattern name.  I need to check this out.

The salt and pepper shakers are by Lenox as well.  The pattern is "Solitaire."
By the way, just a side note, the little black specks on the table cloth are ashes from where I set the centerpiece on fire with the candle.  Fortunately, no big disaster, just a few ashes.

I decided to keep the table simple considering the intricate patterns on the plates.

The sugar dish is by Waterford Crystal.

Tablescape Thursday is a great excuse to bring out the best.  Thanks Susan!
