A Little Birdie Told Me...

Okay, so I found these absolutely fabulous plates on ebay and had to have them.  These are a 2000 pattern by Warren Kimble called "Birdhouse."

After I purchased them, I couldn't wait to put together a tablescape, but I had to wait.  Easter came first.  I have had this table together, but with packing and other stuff going on, haven't been able to get pictures together for the blog.  So, I am happy to be able to share these with you this week.

I found these cute salt and pepper shakers at Hobby Lobby in their Spring Collection.

I pulled together everything bird oriented from around the house.  I received the church birdhouse as a gift from my husband.  And the little blue birdhouse was made by my youngest when she was in 4th or 5th grade.

The cat cream pitcher was from my grandma's collection of pitchers.

The candlesticks came from a thrift store.

The Sunflower glasses came from an antique store.  The flatware came from Ross.

The yellow plates and cups are from the Martha Stewart Collection at KMart.

The bird napkin rings also came from Hobby Lobby.

I think maybe I'll make birds nest cookies for dessert.

Thanks to Susan at Between Naps on the Porch for hosting us.

Golden Harvest

I'm linking this post to Marty at A Stroll Thru Life for Tabletop Tuesday.

My honey bought a set of Golden Harvest by Homer Laughlin for me for Valentine's Day.  I have several plates, etc., but I only had a complete set of everything for two, so I set a table for two out of my new dishes.

I used the coffee pot as a vase and put some grasses in it.  The candlesticks are from Hobby Lobby.

The glasses and salt and pepper shakers were picked up at a local antique store.

Fall is Here!

I have seriously been ready for fall since mid-August.  I have put together this table to celebrate my love of this time of year!

I found these adorable fall cup and saucers at a little antique shop near home.

Which is the same place I found these sunflower glasses.

The salt and pepper shakers went perfectly with the fall table.  I believe I found them at Ross.  The arrangement was pre-made, but I loved the simplicity of it.

Rather than conventional napkins I used these mustard and red dish towels.

The leaf salad plates and faux antique copper chargers are from the Better Homes and Gardens collection at Wal-Mart and the red dinner plates are from Wal-Mart's canopy collection.

The bowls were found at Ross.  They are simply called "orange rooster."

A Coffee Themed Table

It's Tablescape Thursday!  I am excited to post this.  I have been viewing many beautiful tablescapes over the past several weeks which are linked to "Between Naps on the Porch."  I have decided to participate this week.  Enjoy!

I found these great plates at Hobby Lobby; each with a different design of a coffee house.

I also ran across these place mats with a coffee house theme.

I added a pretty butter yellow plate and red serving plate to accent the yellows and reds found in the plates and placemats.

I tucked the flatware into the folded napkins in the goblets.

And a white cup and saucer.  You must have coffee!

And added cute red vintage coffee pot salt and pepper shakers, a crystal sugar dish, and a creamer with stir straws.

The centerpiece is a candle tucked in a hurricane surrounded by coffee beans.

Along the server, I set out a vintage coffee set, coffee syrup bottles, and a fall arrangement.

This is the finished setting.

Bellissimo!
